AMBAR LUCID HEADLINES ESTRELLA TOUR IN DC

Ambar Lucid sold out her show in DC at Songbyrd DC monday night. While we don't know the title or release date of the new album, the Estrella (hint hint) tour is giving a glimpse of new music plus fan favorites throughout the show. The crowd definitely put a smile to the artist’s face as she mustered all of her energy onto the fans. The last time I saw her, she was opening up for Mon LaFerte in 2019. Headlining her own tour is such an accomplishment.

One of her latest singles girl ur so pretty, is an essential bubblegum pop anthem for summer 2022. It's a cute song for the summer flings and cuts straight to the chase at the same time. During the show she played her newest single La Torre, which dropped this week, inspired by the Major Arcana tarot card, The Tower. This card is a symbol for the ambition that is constructed on faulty premises, but the tower must be destroyed to bring a new ambition on a trusted foundation. Ambar tells the crowd that the rough situations she's been through have allowed her to write and feel through this song. The song also symbolizes the attempt to transition into the better phase of her life, acknowledging past trauma and letting go. Ambar's honesty with her fans is what makes this show even more intimate.

I love that Ambar literally sounds the same in your headphones and in person. She gave off a majestic energy the whole show and captivated the audience without missing a beat. She wasn't scared to show her emotions through her facial expressions, her voice, and storytelling of her personal life. Her vulnerability made her stronger towards the end of the night and made for an amazing show.

Even though Ambar mentioned she wasn't feeling her 100% best; she gave it her all for the end of the show. She jumped into the crowd and sang Universe to the fullest. I lost sight of Ambar in the crowd, but you can hear her heart and soul in the song. I can not wait until she comes back to DC.
