Zack Fox

You may know Zack Fox from collaborating with well-known artists such as Thundercat or Doechii, or even from his appearances as the character ‘Tariq’ on the show Abbott Elementary. However, this past weekend, Zack Fox was headlining Big Night Live in Boston, showing off his amazing skills as a DJ. While he does write and release his own music, Zack focused on playing a full set of primarily house, trap, and 90s R&B music. He ensured the crowd was present and dancing the entire time by keeping the stage lights low and throwing in random jokes on the mic.

Zack truly showed his passion for his craft and for the community by inviting local Boston DJs to be the openers for his show. He ended the show by playing a song inspired by the Shout / Gospel genre, awakening a spirit in some of the less engaged audience members. In one final mic drop, Zack made an iconic statement about how ‘nothing is real and we may not make it’ citing a politically inspired joke, and then dipping for the night.
