Sleeptalk Releases “Its Alright (Just Complicated)
Sleeptalk are back with their third and final track from instalment one titled “It’s Alright (Just Complicated)” with the plan to release a new song every thirty days leading up to the big release of their sophomore album which will be dropped this summer.
“Ultra Normal” and “Fix You (Like That Coldplay Song),” previous tracks released in the first instalment, have a great sound that just wraps itself around your brain. “It’s Alright (Just Complicated)” is no different with it’s intoxicating melody that will have you thinking about it for days on end.
From the beginning of the track, we are welcomed with the crash of the drums that rush over you followed by a strong and powerful bass line prominent throughout the entire track. The two instruments make for a solid rhythm section and do an amazing job at tying everything together.
Mid-way through, a gorgeous guitar riff adds even more to the song, creating a strong vibe for the mellowed vocals to come in and have you feeling that everything is alright.
Through this track, lead vocalist Anthony Fitzpatrick explores more painful interpersonal dilemmas, as the song takes you through two friends struggling to find a common ground on what’s real and what’s fabricated in their friendship.
The alternative band undoubtedly have a lot of talent between them and this track is just one of many that showcase that. After listening to this song for the first time, you simply cannot get enough, from the strong rhythm section to the great vocals, and intoxicating guitars - Sleeptalk are a band you need to watch out for.
