Indie Band Altameda Releases Nightmare Town

Toronto-based indie band Altameda announced a new album entitled Born Losers to be released on April 15th! To mark the announcement, they've shared a new track titled "Nightmare Town" inspired by Terrence Malick's film Badlands.

For all the non-movie buffs out there, Badlands is the sort of a 70's version of Bonnie and Clyde. A girl in a dead-end town meets a guy who then embarks on a violent adventure through the badlands of South Dakota. What they share in common is that they just want to leave and start new; literally anywhere.

"I bet those Hollywood Lights are looking good right now. / Why don't we go for a ride / I can steal my brothers care right now and drive through the night"

"Nightmare Town " is really this humdrum town where you will have a mundane routine forever unless you take fate into your own hands. Just like a movie, this song has a beginning, middle, and end. The guitar solo brings the drama while the driving drums bring it all together with Fin title at the end.
